Two former Major League Baseball players were among the more than 100 persons killed when the roof of a nightclub collapsed in the Dominican Republic.
On Tuesday morning (April 8), at around 1am local time, the ceiling of the Jet Set nightclub in the capital city of Santo Domingo abruptly collapsed, leaving at least 300 people inside, including former athletes Tony Blanco and Octavio Dotel.
The Sadly, Dotel passed away en route to the hospital, even though he had been alive when he was pulled from the wreckage.
